Organized in the frame of ENEA Presidency of MEDENER, just a few days after the COP 23 in Bonn, this Conference discussed how to address climate change and migration through energy transition, in particular by strengthening regional cooperation in the fields of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency, contributing to security of energy supply, climate change mitigation, sustainable and inclusive growth, while at the same time creating jobs and reducing migration flows.
The IMPULSE platforms and objectives were presented as a good practice for conducting and implementing affordable energy efficiency action plans for public buildings in the Mediterranean area, in the 5th MEDENER Conference “Addressing climate change and migration in the Mediterranean region through energy transition”. The contribution towards Cities’ energy transition to low carbon economy was emphasized.
